8 Mental Tricks For Insane Muscle Gain

0

When it comes down to it, insane muscle gain can be quite difficult.

Most bodybuilders will agree that if you want to see major results in terms of strength and insane muscle gain, pushing yourself at each and every workout is important.

This is one of the biggest reasons why most people don’t see the insane muscle gain they desire; they just plain don’t train hard enough. The question is, why not? Because….

It causes pain. It’s not comfortable. It takes everything out of you.

Work through it my friend, because the only way to achieve insane muscle gain is to move past that natural pain and learn to deal with it.

Thankfully, there are a few ways to “trick your mind” and push through those pain barriers that stop you from getting the insane muscle gain you want. Try out the following ideas and get ready to experience a huge breakthrough….

1) Life-Threatening Situations

When you get to the end of your set, start thinking about a crazy situation where it’s life or death for you to lift a heavy weight off someone and save their life. As an example, when you’re doing chin-ups you can imagine that you are hanging off of a cliff and that you must pull yourself up in order to survive.

2) Magnetic Force

Imagine that the weights you’re lifting are live magnets being attracted the opposite way. When you’re doing a bench press, think of the ceiling as a magnet powerfully drawing the bar upward.

3) Envision Your Muscles

Remember that when you go to the gym, your sole purpose is to produce an adaptive response from your body by damaging your muscle fibers. To stay motivated, picture what is happening in your muscle tissue as you execute your set. Visualize the way your muscle fibers are ripping and changing, filling with blood and nutrients to create insane muscle gain.

4) Have Someone Watch You

This is not for the purpose of spotting; this is to have someone watch you and motivate you as you perform your set. It’s natural to want to show off what you can do for someone else.

5) Positive/Negative Force

When it comes to pushing exercises, imagine pushing something or someone bad away from your body. Imagine anything for this exercise, including feelings, material objects and people. For pulling exercises, imagine that you are dragging something positive your way. Maybe it’s money, maybe someone you love or even a positive feeling.

6) Set Ridiculous Goals

If you were planning to perform 5 reps on the next set, aim for 100 instead. Don’t just lie to yourself; really believe in it. Once the set begins, tell yourself that you aren’t giving up until you reach 100 reps.

7) Close Your Eyes

Only apply this if the exercise is basic and easy to perform. Deadlifting or squatting, for example, would be a no go. During simple exercises, keep your eyes closed. There will be nothing in front of you but your exercise performance.

8) Pretend It’s Someone Else’s Pain

In order to produce insane muscle gain, you have to push yourself to muscular failure or at least very close to it everytime you train. Work through muscular failure by picturing your physical pain as something belonging to someone you really dislike. More pain comes their way every time you push yourself harder. It might sound like a harsh way to train, but it’s definitely effective.
